The aWARe Zone Hub is more than a workspace. It’s a place to reconnect, rebuild, and create. Every day, internally displaced youth, students, activists, young veterans, and civil society leaders gather here to study, work, and collaborate. With free internet, quiet workspaces, and access to laptops, the Hub removes practical barriers so young people can focus on what matters. In Kyiv, 15–20 visitors walk through its doors daily.

Through the aWARe Grant program, the Hub helps community-driven ideas come to life. Young leaders and both local and relocated organizations can apply for direct financial support to launch initiatives that respond to real needs around them, based on available resources. The program encourages collaboration, shared ownership, and practical solutions that strengthen communities from within.
The aWARe Hubs serve as vibrant learning spaces where young people come together to grow their skills and confidence. Through seminars and workshops on project management, sustainable development, and civic engagement, participants gain practical tools they can apply immediately. Ukraine Focus works with experienced trainers and mentors who help local and relocated youth strengthen both soft and hard skills, including leadership, teamwork, and social entrepreneurship. The goal is to empower young people not just to participate in their communities, but to lead them.
aWARe Zone brings together an interdisciplinary community of experts committed to finding real solutions to youth outmigration. The Ukrainian think tank on brain drain serves as a collaborative platform for research, dialogue, and action.
Together, experts examine international best practices, develop policy recommendations for a national brain drain action plan across short, medium, and long-term horizons, explore strategies to make Ukraine more attractive for young people to return, and define the role of local governments and civil society in retaining and supporting youth. The focus is on creating conditions where young people see their future in Ukraine.
Be aWARe about Business is an educational program that supports young people in turning ideas into responsible and sustainable ventures. Supported by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, the program includes six interactive training sessions and a hackathon designed to build both practical business knowledge and essential leadership skills. Professional trainers and mentors with experience working with youth guide participants through the process of developing real-world solutions.
Implemented in partnership with local authorities, the program also examines the regional business environment and advocates for stronger youth entrepreneurship initiatives within city council frameworks. Its long-term vision is to cultivate a new generation of entrepreneurs who contribute to resilient local economies and help shape a stronger future for Ukraine.
