In Vancouver Island, British Columbia, something really special came together this past Saturday.

One of our Mission 17 volunteer drivers, Peter “Shep” Shepherd, brought the community of Chemainus together to host a fundraiser in support of Ukraine Focus. It was a night built on local generosity and people simply wanting to help.

There was a live auction filled with donated items from the community, including beautiful pieces from Cowichan knitting. Each item reflected time, care, and a shared purpose behind why everyone was there.

What stands out most is that this came from a small town far from Ukraine, where people still chose to show up and be part of something bigger than themselves. That kind of support is what keeps these missions going!

Цієї минулої суботи на острові Ванкувер, у Британській Колумбії, відбулося щось справді особливе.

Один із наших водіїв-добровольців місії 17, Пітер “Шеп” Шеперд, об’єднав громаду міста Чемейнус, щоб провести благодійний захід на підтримку Ukraine Focus. Це був вечір, наповнений щедрістю місцевих жителів і щирим бажанням допомогти.

Відбувся благодійний аукціон із речами, подарованими місцевою громадою, серед яких були й прекрасні вироби традиційного в’язання Cowichan. Кожен із цих предметів відображав вкладений час, турботу та спільну мету, яка об’єднала всіх присутніх.

Найбільше вражає те, що все це відбулося в невеликому містечку далеко від України, де люди все одно вирішили долучитися та стати частиною чогось більшого. Саме така підтримка допомагає цим місіям рухатися вперед.

Шепе, дякуємо тобі за організацію цього заходу та за те, що ти об’єднав свою громаду навколо цієї справи.

On April 12, our Ukraine Focus team completed the Paris Marathon! 26.2 miles through the streets of Paris, running for something bigger than ourselves.

We are so proud of our team and incredibly grateful for everyone who supported, donated, and cheered us on from Paris and beyond!

We carry this momentum forward into everything that comes next, especially Mission 17, which starts on May 18!

26,2 милі вулицями Парижа — ми бігли заради чогось більшого, ніж ми самі.

Ми дуже пишаємося нашою командою та безмежно вдячні всім, хто підтримував, донатив і вболівав за нас у Парижі та по всьому світу!

Ми несемо цей імпульс далі в усьому, що чекає попереду — особливо в Місії 17, яка розпочнеться 18 травня!
